Everything a Series Server Needs

A recorded series asks the same three things of a server: hold the world, hold the tick rate while people are standing in it, and let you reach every file when something needs fixing at short notice.

Ryzen 9 9950X CPU

Minecraft runs its tick loop on a single core, so clock speed beats core count. Every plan is on the same 9950X boosting to 5.7 GHz, with DDR5 memory behind it.

Backups Every Six Hours

Automatic on a schedule, plus a manual snapshot in one click before you flatten a hill or run a command across the map. Restores come from the same panel.

File Manager and SFTP

Every folder is reachable, so a world moves in as a folder and leaves the same way, and config files open in the browser editor.

Whitelist in a Plain File

server.properties, whitelist.json and ops.json are files you edit yourself, so closing the world to everyone but the cast is two lines and a restart.

NVMe Storage

Ten people walking outward pull ten sets of chunks off disk at once. NVMe keeps those reads from queueing behind each other.

Six Regions on 10 Gbps

Singapore, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, on a 10 Gbps line with DDoS filtering that is never switched off.

About Halfway

Who Is Halfway?

Halfway tells stories in Minecraft on YouTube. A series is one world carried across a run of episodes, which makes the world folder the thing worth protecting: it has to still be there next week, be safe to open up when someone joins for an episode, and be recoverable on the day a build goes wrong.

That is what the plans below are shaped around rather than raw numbers. Every tier runs the same AMD Ryzen 9 9950X on NVMe storage, takes an automatic backup every six hours, and lets you pull a manual one in a click before anything irreversible. A world you already have uploads as a folder, and a world you start here downloads the same way whenever you want a copy.

What Other Server Owners Say

Rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot, trusted by 2,500+ server owners, with support replies in 15 minutes.

Launch in Minutes

From Checkout to Playing in Minutes

No server jar to install, no port forwarding, and no router settings to change before anyone else joins.

01
Configure your server
~30 seconds

Pick the region closest to the people who will be on it and a player count. The configurator sizes the memory from that number instead of asking you to guess.

02
We build it for you
automatic

Provisioning and installation are automatic. Paper, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge is chosen at order rather than installed by hand afterwards.

03
Join and invite your players
instant

Copy the address and port out of the panel and hand them out. Start, stop, the config editor and one-click restores all live in the same place, so the world is yours to change from the first join.

FAQ Quick Help

Frequently Asked Questions

What people arriving from a creator link ask first, answered before you spend anything.

What does the halfway code actually do?

It takes 30% off your first invoice, on any billing cycle, and it is already filled in when you arrive from this page. An 8 GB server is €20 a month at the standard rate, so the first month is €14 and it renews at €20. The discount applies once rather than to every renewal.

How much RAM does the server need?

The configurator sizes it from your player count rather than making you pick blind. It starts at a 4 GB floor for current versions, adds 1 GB of headroom for plugins, then 0.16 GB per player, so ten players land on 8 GB. Mods are a different model with a higher floor: the RAM calculator has the numbers per loader if you are running a pack rather than plugins.

Can I upload a world I have already built?

Yes. A single-player world is a folder, and it uploads through the file manager or over SFTP into the same place the server reads from, so a world you have been building offline carries across instead of being rebuilt. It comes back down the same way whenever you want a copy on your own machine.

Can other people join for an episode?

Yes. The server has a public address and an open port from the moment it is created, so there is no router to configure and no home IP to chase. Hand out the address, and if the world should be closed the rest of the time, the whitelist is a file in the panel you can switch on and off between sessions.

Does the server stay up when I am not recording?

Yes, that is the difference between renting one and running it on your own PC. The world stays up when you log off, nobody waits for one specific person to be online, and your own machine is not holding the tick loop while you play.

What if I need a bigger plan halfway through a season?

Move anywhere between 4 GB and 128 GB from the panel. The change is prorated to the day, the world folder stays where it is, and there is no migration or reinstall. Switching loader or pack is free and does not rebuild the server either. Take a backup first regardless.

What does it cost after the first month?

A flat €2.50 per GB of RAM per month with no setup fee, so 8 GB is €20 and 16 GB is €40. Every tier runs the same CPU, which means a larger plan buys memory rather than a faster tick, and the first three days are covered by a money-back guarantee.

What happens if it breaks at two in the morning?

Support is staffed 24/7 and the average reply lands in about 15 minutes, so a stuck process or a restore from a backup is a ticket away. Network availability carries a 99.9% yearly SLA credited at 5x the downtime, and CraftLands is rated 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot.
