Frequently Asked Questions
Java, Bedrock, mods, plugins and memory, answered for the way people actually run Minecraft.
What type of DDoS protection does CraftLands provide?
Our Minecraft servers feature enterprise-grade DDoS protection powered by GlobalSecureLayer and Royale depending on location, offering always-on mitigation and real-time traffic analysis. This ensures your server stays online and maintains low latency during attacks, so you can enjoy uninterrupted gameplay day and night.
What hardware powers CraftLands Minecraft servers?
CraftLands uses cutting-edge AMD Ryzen 9 9950x processors combined with ultra-fast NVMe SSD storage and 10Gbps network connections. This high-performance setup guarantees smooth gameplay, quick server response, and the ability to handle large modpacks and many players simultaneously.
How does CraftLands support customers?
We provide 24/7 human support with an average reply time of 15 minutes via our ticket system and Discord channel. Whether you need help managing server files, installing mods, or troubleshooting issues, our expert team is ready to assist you quickly and efficiently.
Can I add and manage plugins, mods, and add-ons easily?
Yes! Our custom control panel lets you add plugins, mods, and add-ons effortlessly. With one-click installers for popular modpacks and plugins, you can customize your Minecraft server without technical hassle.
Can I switch between Minecraft Java and Bedrock Editions?
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition require separate servers, but CraftLands makes it easy to create and manage both. You can create a server for java and add support for Bedrock edition to play with friends across platforms.
How much RAM does my Minecraft server need?
View distance and your mod loader set the figure, not your player count. A Paper server with a dozen plugins and a Forge server with three hundred mods are completely different memory profiles at the same player count, because every mod registers its blocks, items and recipes before anyone connects. Size for your loader first, then add headroom for players. Memory is €2.50 per GB of RAM per month, from 4 GB up to 128 GB.
Why does my Minecraft server lag when the CPU looks idle?
A Minecraft world ticks in a single loop twenty times a second, and that loop is overwhelmingly one thread: entity ticks, block updates, redstone and mob pathfinding all queue behind each other on one core. Spare cores cannot make it finish sooner, so clock speed matters far more than core count. That is why our servers run AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processors boosting to 5.7 GHz with DDR5 memory behind them.
Where are CraftLands Minecraft servers located?
CraftLands runs Minecraft servers in six locations: Singapore, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt. Every location runs the same AMD Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with NVMe SSD storage and always-on DDoS protection, so the location you choose changes your latency and nothing else.
Which CraftLands server location should I choose?
Pick the CraftLands location closest to most of your players, because physical distance is what sets ping. The Check Your Ping section on this page measures your latency to Singapore, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt in your browser, and the checkout step marks the fastest of the six as Recommended before you pay.
