How to Install and Use ChestShop on Minecraft

What is ChestShop

ChestShop is a Minecraft plugin that allows player to create shop using chests to sell and purchase items. It creates an automated system in which players can buy and sell items without direct interaction.

How to Install

To install this plugin, you first need to open your Minecraft server's web panel.

• Locate 'Plugins' section in the sidebar and click on it.
• Locate Searchbar and search "ChestShop".
• Click Install button of the Chestshop plugin, in the first row.

• Select the correct version to install.
• Click Install button again

This will install the plugin in your server.

Verify Installation

To verify the installation, navigate to the Files section of your panel, open the 'plugins' folder, and check for the corresponding .jar file. If the file is present, the plugin is successfully installed.

How to Create a ChestShop

To create a ChestShop, place a chest and a sign next to it using the following format:

Line 1: Player name (leave blank for admin shops)

Line 2: Quantity of items sold

Line 3: Buy and sell price

Line 4: Item name or ID

This will create a Chestshop from where everyone can purchase the stock items.

Additional Commands

Following are some common commands that you can learn and use:

• This command lets you get information about the item in your hand

/iteminfo

• This command lets you get information about the looked-at shop

/shopinfo 

• This command gives an item with a unique ChestShop code to a player

/csgive <itemcode> [<amount>] [<player>]

Requirements

You must have installed following plugins for ChestShop to work:

• Vault (or VaultUnlocked if you use Folia)
• Any Ecomony Plugin (for example Esssentialx or BetterEconomy)

Note

Please keep the following in mind before proceeding:

• After installing the plugin, you must restart your Minecraft server to activate it.
