How to Install LuckPerms and Set Up Ranks

What is LuckPerms

LuckPerms is a Minecraft permissions management plugin that allows server owners to create, edit, and manage player groups, ranks, and permissions easily and effectively.

How to Install LuckPerms

To install this plugin, you first need to open your Minecraft server's web panel.

• Locate 'Plugins' section in the sidebar and click on it.
• Locate Searchbar and search "Luckperms".
• Click Install button of the Luckperms plugin, in the first row.

• Select the correct version to install.
• Click Install button again.

This will install the plugin in your server.

Verify Installation

To verify the installation, navigate to the Files section of your panel, open the 'plugins' folder, and check for the corresponding .jar file. If the file is present, the plugin is successfully installed.

How to Use LuckPerms

By using this command, the LuckPerms editor will open, where you will be able to create ranks, groups, set prefixes, assign permissions, and manage users, etc.

/lp editor

Creating Groups in LuckPerms

Example:

Create a default group:

/lp creategroup default

Create an admin group:

/lp creategroup admin

Setting a Player's Group

Add:

/lp user <name> parent set <group>

Example:

/lp user Steve parent set admin

This assigns the player to the admin group.

• After installing the plugin, you must restart your Minecraft server to activate it.
