How to Install Towny on Your Minecraft Server

What is Towny

Towny is a Minecraft plugin which adds a town and nation based system on your server, allowing players to create, manage and expand their towns along with forming alliances with other towns and nations.

How to Install Towny

To install this plugin, you first need to open your Minecraft server's web panel.

• Locate 'Plugins' section in the sidebar and click on it.
• Locate Searchbar and search "Towny".
• Click Install button of the Towny plugin, in the first row.

• Select the correct version to install.
• Click Install button again.

This will install the plugin in your server.

Verify Installation

To verify the installation, navigate to the Files section of your panel, open the 'plugins' folder, and check for the corresponding .jar file. If the file is present, the plugin is successfully installed.

Basic Towny Commands

This command will create a new town with your custom name.

/town new {townname}

This command will add a resident to your town.

/town add {resident}

Claims the town block you are currently standing on (Mayor command).

/town claim

Sets a message displayed to residents upon logging in.

/town set board {message}

• After installing the plugin, you must restart your Minecraft server to activate it.
