What Is a Beyond Depth Server?

Beyond Depth is an exploration modpack that CurseForge describes as challenging, with 400+ mods, new dimensions, tough bosses and enhanced combat. The latest release, Ver13.0.4 from October 2026, runs Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge 47.4.22, and its manifest lists 530 CurseForge files.

The pack adds the Undergarden, Deeper and Darker and Voidscape dimensions, 35+ bosses, 300+ new mobs and 500+ new structures, and makes the Wither, Ender Dragon and Warden stronger than vanilla. Combat gets parrying with shields, and FTB Teams and quests cover multiplayer without leaning heavily on quests.

Load comes from the new mobs, the big structure list and Create machines. CurseForge recommends 8 GB of RAM for players, and the author asks you not to update mods or add OptiFine.

My server KuroKraft uses Craftlands hosting, great CPU great performance, but performance aside, a big thing is mrDadone … actually help a lot with running and setting up and giving advice on everything for the better. Network issues, plugin recommendations, server monitoring, they do it all. … The last thing they will do is push trying to get you to spend more on ram first if ur server is lagging because its 99.99% something else that is most likely the issue first before lack of memory or disk.

How much RAM does a Beyond Depth server need?

CurseForge recommends 8 GB of allocated RAM and lists 4 GB as the minimum for players, and the manifest asks for about 8.4 GB. We start at 8 GB, which leaves nothing spare for players, so 12 GB is the size for about 20 players and 16 GB covers 40.

Which Minecraft version and loader does it use?

Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge 47.4.22 with release Ver13.0.4. Players need the same pack version in their launcher, and any mod you add must be a 1.20.1 Forge build. The author asks players not to update mods inside the pack.

Which dimensions and bosses does the pack add?
