What Is an MC Eternal Server?
MC Eternal is a hybrid kitchen sink pack for Minecraft 1.12.2 whose author counts around 380 mods and keeps the crafting recipes deliberately basic. The CurseForge manifest installs 344 files on top of Forge 14.23.5.2860. Nine quest chapters run Introduction, Agriculture, Exploration, Magic and Spellcasting, Science, Advanced Science, Space Exploration, Bosses and Challenges, and the pack page states that every chapter is optional and over 750 quests are written so far.
Progression is gated by geography rather than grind. Osmium spawns only in the dark of The Beneath, in larger veins as compensation, and Hardcore Darkness leaves unlit caves genuinely black with more spawns in them. Quests pay currency you spend in the dynamic GUI Player Shop, a bounty system sends you hunting elusive creatures, and beyond that sit Tinkers Construct tool levelling, a MineColonies town and a modular rocket to the Moon.
The cost of all that is 1.12.2 Forge, which does most of its tick work on a single thread. MineColonies citizens path constantly, Ice and Fire dragons and Rats keep entity counts up, and Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2 and Industrial Foregoing builds tick every cycle. Dimensions compound it: the pack page advertises nine or more, so each trip to The Beneath, the Twilight Forest or the Betweenlands loads another set of chunks.
MC Eternal suits a group that wants variety without complicated recipes: one player automating, another questing, another running a colony. Generate the world with Biomes O' Plenty, the type the pack page suggests, because chunks keep whatever generator made them. CraftLands preinstalls the pack and its Forge build before first boot, runs it on NVMe hardware in the region you pick, and includes automatic backups on every plan for when a colony goes wrong.
