About the Modpack

What Is an MC Eternal 2 Server?

MC Eternal 2 is adam98991's kitchen sink sequel, release 1.3 from September 2026, running on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.2 and Java 17. Its manifest lists 649 CurseForge files. It is a separate project from the original MC Eternal, which is a 1.12.2 pack, so worlds and clients do not carry across.

The pack mixes tech, magic and RPG play in one world. Create trains and factories sit next to Mekanism fission and fusion reactors, while Iron's Spells and Spellbooks, Goety and Ars Nouveau cover the magic side and MineColonies lets you start a town. Hundreds of quests are written for it, with a quest shop to spend rewards in, and the Great Below is a custom mining dimension where osmium spawns.

A server holds all of that in memory at once. The pack's own page recommends 8 to 10 GB dedicated to the client, and a server also keeps every loaded chunk and every running machine on top. Pregenerating the world is supported by the pack, which helps startup and exploration lag once your group spreads out.

How much RAM does an MC Eternal 2 server need?

The pack lists 8 to 10 GB for the client and its manifest asks for about 9 GB. We size the server at 10 GB before anyone joins, so 16 GB is the working choice for 30 players and 20 GB covers 50.

Which Minecraft version and loader does it run on?

Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge 47.4.2 with release 1.3, which uses Java 17. Everyone joining needs the same pack version, and anything you add must be a 1.20.1 Forge build.

Is this the same pack as MC Eternal?

No. MC Eternal 2 is a separate CurseForge project on 1.20.1, while the original MC Eternal runs 1.12.2. Saves do not move between them. We host both.
