What Is an Enigmatica 6 Server?
Enigmatica 6 is the Enigmatica team's Minecraft 1.16.5 kitchen sink, 360 mods in release 1.12.0 running on Forge 36.2.39. It is built to be played through rather than skimmed: quests point you at each mod in turn, and the worldgen is handled by TerraForged and Oh The Biomes You'll Go, so the map you land in already looks nothing like vanilla.
The tech side runs through Create, Immersive Engineering, Refined Storage, Mekanism, PneumaticCraft, the Thermal Series and RFTools. The magic side runs through Botania, Ars Nouveau, Nature's Aura, Blood Magic, Astral Sorcery and Occultism. Neither side is gated behind the other, so on a shared server one player can spend a month on a Mekanism factory while another never leaves their Astral Sorcery altar.
Exploration is served by Dungeons Plus, DungeonCrawl, YUNG's Better Strongholds and Better Mineshafts, Towers of the Wild and Lost Trinkets, and there is a full building kit on top: the Macaw's series, Masonry, Decorative Blocks and Simply Lights. That mix is why E6 tends to survive as a long running server pack instead of being finished and abandoned in three weekends.
The download carries a normal and an expert config set side by side, so the harder recipe rules are a swap inside the same pack instead of a different install. Being a 1.16.5 Forge pack it wants the Java 8 runtime, which we set up for you, and its cost profile is factory shaped: chunk generation is heavy while people explore, then machines and item pipes take over as the permanent load.
