Create: Above and Beyond is simibubi's official challenge pack for Create: 136 mods on Minecraft 1.16.5 arranged as one long engineering brief. The pitch on its own page is that about fifty inventions stand between you and the moon, and progress is gated by FTB Quests instead of by ore tiers. It is small by mod count and enormous by machine count, which is an unusual shape for a server to carry.

Quest chapters run from High Aspirations through Alluring Expedience, The Catharsis, Into the Box and Divide by Digital, with Chaotic Alchemy off to one side, finishing at a Data Centre that programs the Guidance computer of your spaceship. Alongside them sit a Bulletin Board of professions, a Market and a Shipments chapter, so surplus produce turns into coins and one player can bankroll the rest instead of grinding.

The cost here is mechanical rather than memory. Every mixer, press, saw and belt is a ticking block entity, and a chromatic processing line can hold thousands of items in motion at once. Moving contraptions cost far more per tick than static machines, and the bundled FTB Chunks lets those factories stay force loaded with nobody nearby. Belt length and contraption count decide your tick rate more than player count does.

This pack suits two to six people who want to share one assembly line rather than build separate bases: someone takes Metallurgy, someone takes Shipments, and the Market keeps everyone supplied. Version 1.3 from December 2021 is the last release, so the mod set is frozen and there is no update churn to plan around. Share belts between machines, and keep the factory inside a tight chunk footprint.
