Craftoria is one of the largest actively maintained 1.21.1 NeoForge packs around: release 1.31.0 carries 540 mods with more than 2,000 FTB Quests laid over them. The hook is breadth without the usual kitchen sink confusion, because the quest book is written to introduce the mods rather than only hand out rewards. Version 1.31.0 landed in May 2026, so this is a pack still under active development.

You can go tech through Mekanism, Modern Industrialization, Industrial Foregoing and Powah, magic through Ars Nouveau, Occultism and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, or run both at once. Storage escalates from Sophisticated Storage into Applied Energistics 2 with MEGA Cells, Bigger AE2 and EnderDrives. Exploration is a real third path: Oh The Biomes We've Gone reshapes the surface, When Dungeons Arise scatters structures, and L_Ender's Cataclysm plus Bosses of Mass Destruction supply the fights.

Craftoria is heavy for two separate reasons. 540 mods mean a long loading pass and a sizeable baseline heap before anyone connects, and the worldgen stack is unusually expensive on top of that, since Oh The Biomes We've Gone, YUNG's Cave Biomes and When Dungeons Arise all add work to every fresh chunk. Add Apotheosis affixed mobs and Enderman Overhaul, and one explorer costs the server more than three people building a base.

This is the pack for a group that wants one server to last months without hunting down progression guides. Chunk creation is where Craftoria hurts most, so installing Chunky and pregenerating a radius before the first session is worth the wait. NeoForge 21.1 point releases arrive regularly, so back up, read the changelog for removed mods, then apply the update from the panel between sessions rather than mid-game.
