What Is an FTB Skies 2 Server?

FTB Skies 2 is Feed the Beast's skyblock pack, release 1.24.0 from October 2026, running on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.250 and Java 21. Its manifest lists 438 CurseForge files. It is a separate project from the first FTB Skies, built around hand-made floating islands.

You choose one of three resource paths: Crystalmancy with budding geodes and crystal transformation, Cultivation with Mystical Agriculture, Productive Bees and fishing, or Prospecting with Create and sifting. Over 1,000 quests include turn-ins, exploration and boss goals, with a quest reward shop, and there are more than half a dozen starting islands. The endgame is the reworked FTB Pyramid.

Skyblock keeps the world small, so the load is automation: Create lines, Refined Storage 2 and Applied Energistics 2 networks, and bee and crop farms all tick on the server. Spread large farms across the islands and back up before a one-click update, since the pack has been releasing every few weeks.

My server KuroKraft uses Craftlands hosting, great CPU great performance, but performance aside, a big thing is mrDadone … actually help a lot with running and setting up and giving advice on everything for the better. Network issues, plugin recommendations, server monitoring, they do it all. … The last thing they will do is push trying to get you to spend more on ram first if ur server is lagging because its 99.99% something else that is most likely the issue first before lack of memory or disk.

How much RAM does an FTB Skies 2 server need?

Which Minecraft version and loader does it use?

Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge 21.1.250 with release 1.24.0, which runs on Java 21. Players need the same pack version in their launcher, and extra mods must be 1.21.1 NeoForge builds.

What are the three resource paths?
