What Is an RLCraft Dregora Server?

RLCraft Dregora is RLCraft rebuilt around the Dregora world generator, made by Shivaxi and NLBlackEagle together with the RLCraft developers. Release 1.1.2b from December 2025 runs Minecraft 1.12.2 on Forge 14.23.5.2860, and its manifest lists 230 CurseForge files.

World generation runs on OTG and adds 300+ biomes and 300+ new or updated structures, with new bosses, mobs, mob variants, over 100 lore books and a full storyline. The RLCraft rules stay: thirst, temperature, no healing from food, and items locked behind skill levels, with over 340 optional quests on top. The page itself warns that you are going to die a lot.

Load comes from the world and its mobs rather than machines: Lycanite's mobs, Ice and Fire dragons and Infernal mobs all share the map. CurseForge recommends 8 GB for servers and the CurseForge launcher for players, since manual installs often fail.

My server KuroKraft uses Craftlands hosting, great CPU great performance, but performance aside, a big thing is mrDadone … actually help a lot with running and setting up and giving advice on everything for the better. Network issues, plugin recommendations, server monitoring, they do it all. … The last thing they will do is push trying to get you to spend more on ram first if ur server is lagging because its 99.99% something else that is most likely the issue first before lack of memory or disk.

How much RAM does an RLCraft Dregora server need?

The CurseForge page asks for 6 to 8 GB and recommends 8 GB for servers, so we start at 8 GB and a plan that size has nothing spare for players. 12 GB is the size to buy for about 20 players, and 16 GB covers 40.

Which Minecraft version and loader does it use?

Minecraft 1.12.2 on Forge 14.23.5.2860 with release 1.1.2b. Players need the same pack version in their launcher, and any mod you add must be a 1.12.2 Forge build.

Is RLCraft Dregora the same as RLCraft?

No. It is a separate pack that replaces the default world generation with Dregora, so worlds do not move between the two. We host both, and you can switch the server between packs from the panel.

How do the skills and quests work?

Items and abilities stay locked until you level up in certain skills; shears, for example, need Gathering and Farming at 4 each. Reskillable and Level Up! are the inventory tabs for spending levels, and the pack adds over 340 optional quests.

What changes in the world compared with vanilla?

Dregora adds 300+ biomes and 300+ structures, including cities and underground civilizations, and temperature matters when you pick where to settle. Expect new bosses, mob variants and a lore-driven storyline across the map.

Can I add mods or move to a different pack later?
